We sure do love what we
do. Web design is not just about making pretty pages. Its about making
good pages that are coded for the times. Let me give you an example.
Search engines are notorious for changing their standards on how they
search the internet. As developers, we have to keep up with those times
and ensure that your pages are up to date and search engine friendly as
possible.
We also strive to
make your site unique and specialized to your business. Its not about just
have a "web presence" anymore. When the internet started going big,
companies were just getting names and throwing pages up. Now that the
internet is a standard of living, our sites have to be completely focused
and structured to maximize your companies exposure to the world wide web.
That is our goal. We are not making websites with just today in mind. We
are looking into tomorrow and planning for it. Did you know that,
statistically, a company needs 500 links to its website in order for it to
be successful? Its a true statistic. I have learned that the hard way.
Even this site is up to that level. If you want to know what your site
has, go to Google and type: www.yoursite.com. Multiply that number of
pages you find by 3 and that will give you a rough idea where you are as
far as internet presence. You must multiply it because Google isn't the
only search engine out there. There are many that index differently.
"You get what you give".
This is a very true statement. A lot of small businesses want to take
there products to the internet. Many of them pay massive amounts of money
and have these beautiful sites built and think that this alone is enough
to make your business successful. WRONG. This is the worst thing that you
can do. If you do not follow up on your site, make additional pages, make
sure that the content is changed from time to time, the search engines
will begin to phase you out. They won't take your site out of their index.
They will, however, make it harder to find your site when people search.
I was browsing
through ASK.COM recently and I saw that now they have previews of what the
site looks like when you place your mouse over the binoculars. So now
engines are beginning to make design a factor in searched. Now the
customers can pick and choose between good professional sites verses half
thought out cheep sites.
